I am looking for a double buggy for a baby on 15 months and a newborn. any ideas on a good one?

i want one that’s easy to push and take into shops – i won’t really be using public transport very often but will need to fold it down to take in the car. Thanks for your help – I’m in the UK

Thanks Dickie – obviously by name and by nature!

i candy pear, then when your fifteen month old is old enough to walk you can convert it to a single!!

My friend has a Phil and Teds and it is super. Fits through doorways easily as it is the same width as a single, stylish and really easy to manouvre.

Phil & Teds, it looks really funky and the extra attachments can be removed when your older child wants to walk! It’s quite lightweight too and because it’s designed to be a single or a double it isn’t too big and bulky like some of the doubles you can get!! The link below is for the basic single pushchair, you then buy the doubles kit for around £65 as shown on the right hand side of the pic on the link

I have a Jane twin two. Suitable from birth to 3 years and really easy to use and fold.

You can also attached Jane car seats which is an added bonus for the newborn.

have a quick look on http://www.classychassis.co.uk. i had mine from there. its a mamas and papas duette sw. so easy to use and you can have babies facing forwards or facing you. you can put their carry cots and car seats on there aswell as long as they have the same fittings/g matic. the seat units dont compromise on size, they are the same as some of their single pushchairs. if you dont like the colours on that web site, just get the chassis and look at mamas and papas other colour ranges of ultima units and get those instead. might not be your cup of tea but its certainly wins my vote. i looked for ages and nothing compared for the comfort of the children. you will need a decent size boot if you intend putting it in the car though.

hope this helps you, just one to look at.

there is a new one out which is the same size as a normal pushchair but with an extra bit at the front for a toddler. they sell it in argos for £210 i think, a bit pricey but definately worth it instead of using one of those huge bulky doubles. there is also a side by side maclaren one for around the same price.
